this starbucks sign in london around soho was malfunctioning with two of the letters flashing franticly. i thought it seemed so poetic because the image projected by starbucks is a calm relaxing environment but whats really behind it is chaos, quick service, and a powerful business so this sign to me is kinda like the brands true identity slipping through the crack.

under scan - video installation in trafalgar square

a canadian artist named rafael lozano-hemmer showed this piece called under scan which projected images of people in the shadows of anyone in the square. he used giant projectors and sensors. here are a few images i took. enjoy.
