almost at the end of october with the days slipping away earlier and the mornings brisk, fall is upon us. here back in vancouver weve had some nice sunny days but the usual rain is starting to settle in. with my winter coats awaking from the closet its time to embrace the beauty of the fall and winter. happy seasons everyone.

movie - vancouver film fest - another year.

i just watched my first movie from the vancouver film festival, "another year" by director mike leigh and it was such a wonderful film. this movie from the uk has already won film festival awards and is a beautifully slow picture where it felt the director took his time with each scene really grasping the clock of real life and honoring every second even the ones that dont have importance to us. i highly recommend this movie to everyone if not just for the dry british humor and conversation between the characters.

alexander mcqueen - in anticipation.

the spring summer 11 alexander mcqueen show is about to be shown in paris fashion week and i am excited to see what it will look like. this will be the first full collection designed under sarah burton and it will set the new direction of the company. there is goin to be a lot of eyes waiting to see what this collection will look like and im sure the pressure is more intense than ever. these are pictures of mcqueen windows and a tribute at harvey nichols i took back in london on the last collection he produced while still alive.
