i just watched my first movie from the vancouver film festival, "another year" by director mike leigh and it was such a wonderful film. this movie from the uk has already won film festival awards and is a beautifully slow picture where it felt the director took his time with each scene really grasping the clock of real life and honoring every second even the ones that dont have importance to us. i highly recommend this movie to everyone if not just for the dry british humor and conversation between the characters.
